BestCanvas.ca vs Picfair.com: Canvas Review & Comparison

BestCanvas.ca:

Ordering from BestCanvas.ca was a straightforward experience. After uploading my photo, I was guided to select the product type and size. The platform intelligently grayed out sizes unsuitable for my image's resolution, ensuring a quality canvas. I chose a 40 x 24-inch canvas for $61.90 and added wall hangers. The shipping cost was $18.90. I received an email confirming my order, but did not receive a subsequent email with a tracking number. The product arrived well-packaged in two weeks.

The canvas was of reasonable quality, though I noticed a slight saturation issue. The wooden frame appeared well-constructed, and the finish was just right—neither too glossy nor dull. The competitive pricing, along with occasional promotions, made it a cost-effective choice.

Picfair:

Ordering from Picfair involved selecting an image from my store and clicking the 'buy canvas, print' link. The process was smooth, allowing me to choose from three mediums. I selected a canvas with a black wrap in a portrait orientation. The 30x15 inch canvas was priced at $53.47, including a $13.69 image fee. Picfair did an excellent job centering the image, and a preview link provided various settings for visualizing the canvas in different environments. However, the $35.42 shipping fee and $18.04 VAT charge significantly raised the final cost.

The canvas arrived well-packaged with a solid, beveled frame that is almost double the thickness of the BestCanvas version. Mounting hooks were screwed to the frame, and the print quality was acceptable. However, the glossy finish caused excessive glare under artificial light. Additionally, there was a slight uneven cut where the canvas was stapled to the frame.
